Editorial policy
Clever World Journal aims to make its explanations clear, proportionate and worth a reader's attention. We state the scope of a piece plainly and avoid presenting speculation as fact.
Accuracy and sourcing
Writers should check factual statements against suitable, identifiable sources and make the basis of important claims clear to readers. We review copy for accuracy, context and clarity, and revise claims that cannot be supported. Where a piece offers an interpretation or a general observation, it should read as such rather than as a settled fact.
Independence and corrections
Editorial decisions belong to the publication, not to a contributor, partner or advertiser. Relevant interests are disclosed, and commercial relationships do not buy favourable editorial treatment. Readers may report an error through the Contact page. We assess the detail, correct confirmed mistakes and make the change clear where it matters to understanding.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, gifted or partner-supported material is identified clearly so readers can tell it apart from independent editorial work. Partner placements are labelled as such and do not determine our conclusions. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where used, they are identified, and they are not presented as documentary evidence.
Curiosity starts with a closer look
A useful idea need not be grand. We look for the small choices and unexpected connections that make familiar things more interesting.
